I was a few hours into a long road trip heading back to North Carolina when my tire started going flat. I arrived at the closest tire shop (which closed at 6 p.m.) at 5:50 p.m. and they said they could not help me. I head to Star Tires Plus Wheels which was around the corner even though they also closed at 6 p.m. I arrived at their shop at 5:57 p.m. and they did not even hesitate! They immediately assessed the problem, found me a new replacement tire at a discounted price, and installed the new tire in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. These guys were incredibly friendly and helpful. I have had very few customer service experiences that have compelled me to write a review but these guys certainly deserve it. All around a great experience.12/10 would recommend!

Cars need maintenance. They have to be kept up but you want to be able to deal with one place for all your needs. I have been searching for that for so long. People take advantage because they see a woman who may not or probably does not know anything about cars. Not Paige, she has been dealing with me and my pesky car for so long and let me tell you that I have not been the best customer to deal with, (my apologies) but her patience is amazing and the time she takes to explain things matters and makes a difference. The mechanic working on my car did his thing and I finally feel safe driving. Paige also went the extra mile for me and that is something that people DO NOT do these days and I am so grateful! Not to mention our guy at the desk; he makes sure that he greets you by name when you call and when you come through the door. He does not miss a beat! He is polite and respectful and maintains such a professional demeanor! I don’t have to go anywhere else and this is one of the greatest feeling ever!  Thank you Paige!

It's been so long since I have been to a place that still has the old school theory- treat everybody kindly and fairly, give a good price as an estimate hold to that estimate. If there's things wrong they show you they're not trying to make a million dollars they are just trying to satisfy customers and make a living. I checked my last receipt for tires and I will say Town Fair Tire took advantage of me. I can waste time bad-mouthing somebody else but it’s not worth it. It's all about Star Tires! They are actually honest, very fair, and competitive. They follow-through on their word. If you are in the Hartford location ask for Brian. You will have service that will AMAZE YOU.

Mike and his team have been nothing but great to me! I have been here 4 times in the last two months for all the things I was putting off. They dealt with everything. No scams, no lies, and did the job to the fullest! They have great customer service skills and they work with you to make sure the job gets done. I’ve bought 4 tires with road hazard warranty, got an alignment, remote starter installed, brake & rotor job, oil change, and had a broken axle fixed. This shows you I pick their service over everyone and I’ve been MANY places with my vehicle. They are GREAT! Totally recommend their services - you won’t regret it!

Nilda was sweet, kind, polite, understanding, and patient. Especially with me cause I can be a pain in the butt! There was nothing that lady could do any better. When I called Star Tire, William answered the phone. I explained to him that I got a flat on the highway, and how I was unable to find the tires I needed on my BMW the same day. I had to have them special ordered but  I needed to be able to drive my car as I was going to drop my parents off at JFK airport. William was very understanding and offered me a loaner tire and fixed it within 15 mins. I would give them all stars for their out of the box thinking and honesty. They checked all my other tires and did not try to squeeze me into spending money for another tire, like many other big box tire retailers would do. I am so glad I stumbled upon them. There are honest, reliable and smart people working here!!! Keep it up guys.

I went to get new tires today and I saw all the types of rims for sale. I was not looking for rims but they were just too beautiful to pass up. They also had access to many more! We picked out a set and they came in a day. The workmanship was the best I have seen in a long time. They treated us just like family. We will be using that shop for all of my car needs. We had to get new rims and tires. We went to Star Tire in West Haven. As soon as we walked in we felt like we were home. Everyone in the store was sooo helpful and kind. They took the time to explain all the ins and outs of the millions of rims and tires they had access to. It was one of the best experiences we had in a shop. Everything turned out perfect and they told us if we had the slightest problem to return an they will check it out for no cost. I recommend this shop to everyone. God bless.

These guys are awesome especially Ginger and Paige . They always find me what I want and give me a great deal. They are quick to fix any issues I may have and best of all, they are affiliated with Snap Finance so I can  get wheels today and pay later- its such a breeze! Highly recommend these guys
